We are the knights who say KNIT!

The knitting, crocheting, spinning, and disconnected ramblings of a geek of too many trades.

Late-Night Geekery

I have yet to put anything substantial in here, mostly because graduation is a week from today and there's a hundred billion things I need to do before then like write a paper and clean my apartment and... Did I mention cleaning my apartment? Also, no digital camera yet. However, in a moment of late-night geekery on a knitting community I came up with something that I felt needed to be immortalized preserved in the formaldehyde that is my blog.

[Holding the Holy Knitting Needles of Antioch]

King Arthur: How does it... um... how does it work?

Sir Lancelot: I know not, my liege.

King Arthur: Consult Barbara Walker's Third Treasury of Knitting.

Brother Maynard: Barbara Walker, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one.

Cleric: [reading] And Saint Zimmerman raised the knitting needles up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless these thy knitting needles, that with them thou mayst poke thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did knit upon the wool and cotton and angora and nylon and acrylic and shredded ribbon and fruit-twizzlers and large chu...

Brother Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother...

Cleric: And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Center-Pull. Then shalt thou purl to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt purl, and the number of the purling shall be three. Four shalt thou not purl, neither purl thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Knitting Needles of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

Brother Maynard: Amen.

All: Amen.

King Arthur: Right. One... two... five.

Galahad: Three, sir.

King Arthur: Three.

It's finals. I don't feel like studying for finals. Studying is for sissies and girls. So instead I'm creating a knitting blog. 'Bout time, really. There will be actual content eventually, but for now, this will be a delightful placeholder.

The end!
